location, location, location

My gut is telling me that Ohio would be a great place to locate the story. It's a sort of non-descript state to most of the rest of the US, but in doing a little research, it seems it would be a pretty believable location. It was one of the last states to accept choice (via force by supreme court), and to this day they fight choice as seen at NARAL Ohio. It just amazes me that while the supreme court ruling still stands, a state would want to try to completely ignore it. Just goes to show those who say it would never be overturned, that the right is already trying to overturn Roe v. Wade. It's all part of the plan.

Now Wake up Ohio. You may be the proving ground for Roe v. Wade. Don't let these people take away everyone's rights while you sleep continuing to think this is a non-issue.

The other thing that makes Ohio an interesting place for this book is that Wesleyan College, a Methodist university is also located in Ohio. The Methodist church has always been a proponent of choice.
